Handfasting

Our handfasting plans are coming along nicely, had a few hiccups along the way, but I think we're almost there.

Called into Spiritual Connections in Whitby the last time we were up there and chose the colours for the handfasting cords, and confirmed the time and date with them. just need a chalice and something to make the broom with.

We have the venue booked, but now need to find a band, as the function room that we originally booked is now bedrooms. I wish we could have had the band that we wanted though, Inkubus Sukkubus, I love these guys! Going to see them in July in Leeds though (I can't wait!) :)
I also asked Damh the Bard too, he can't play for our handfasting, so hopefully I will get to see him on the UK tour that he is planning instead :)
I asked The Dolmen, and they said they would play for us, but unfortunately the venue has only given us a very small budget, and can't afford them. I'm gutted :(
But, I think we have found a good local band called Bladerunner that plays rock and blues.

Our outfits are all organised, thanks to The Dark Angel, can't wait to see what they look like when we pick them up at the end of September :)

Got the cake topper last October, and think I have decided on what the cake will look like. Just need to find a red velvet cake recipe for my mum, so she can start practicing.

New bear - Nyx

I would like to introduce you all to my latest bear.
Her name is Nyx.

Nyx is approximately 11" tall when standing, made from black Alpaca and is five way jointed.
Her paw pads are cashmere and she has embroidered toes.

She is filled with polyester fibre and has some stainless steel balls in her tummy for extra weight.

She has hand painted purple glass eyes set atop white felt and has a large embroidered nose.
Her face has been carefully trimmed and needle sculpted to give more definition to the muzzle.

Nyx is also wearing a circlet of white silk roses and a necklace with purple beads and a crescent moon pendant.

Nyx is one of a kind.

Nyx's adoption fee is £195.00 including postage.
